Just that feeling you get 17/06/2009

You know that feeling you get, when you’re feeling pretty low, and then something just lifts you up? I love that. Like when you’re feeling lonely, even a smile from someone can make you feel better. I guess it’s that recognition of me that I enjoy. I don’t want to be the centre of attention, but I do want people to know that I’m here.

Which seems a little awkward I suppose.

But that’s just the way I am. Speaking of loneliness, I wish my friends would get back. I never figured I’d miss them this much, and they’re only gone for a week. How silly is that? Oh, well, I’ll just have to grin and bear it. They better be expecting glomps, for that is what they shall receive.

I never know how to finish blogs.

Everything is pretty okay! 09/06/2009

Bah. Realism. It really sucks the life from me. I guess I should stop reading ironic webcomics about the meaninglessness of life, whose authors are clearly having some sort of existential crisis.

I mean, in general, things are alright!

Sure, there’s a recession, some countries are poor, and shizz like that.

But, you know, you’re also part of a bigger picture, and an amazing coincidence called life! I mean, when you think about it, your living is purely down to chance. If you imagine the size of your family tree in your head, not accounting for siblings or anything, billions upon billions of people are part of it. And if one of them hadn’t been alive, or hadn’t done the deed with some other person, or hadn’t got pregnant, you wouldn’t be alive. It’s mind-boggling.

So, if you think life is kinda pointless, you obviously don’t realise how lucky you are, and you don’t need to worry about whether you will amount to anything, because what you’ve already achieved is phenomenal.

Optimism: it’s better than crack.
